How do local performers
get to play at Bournemouth Folk Club?

First we check the music is good - LIVE
.... then we send a message to explain our ways

.... I ought to check with you first. We are a bit different from some acoustic venues in that we expect performers to listen quietly to all the other musicians.

It doesn't suit everyone but, for us, it's about respect for musicians and their songs.

Also we ask you to check in with PA person before the music begins at 8pm. We are proud of his sound quality at the venue.

We work in 4 or 5 x 15 - 20 minute sets with a headline of 40 mins at the end. The headline gets paid ... % net door takings so obviously we only offer headlines to performers who will attract audience numbers.
