Bournemouth Folk Club is run by FAWM - (folk and acoustic world music). This is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to bring the best of folk music to Bournemouth and East Dorset.

Bournemouth Folk Club is directly associated with:
- FAWM concerts in East Dorset;
- Verwood Acoustic;
- Club du Monde (world music project); and
- Paul Burke's radio show (Forest Folk) on ForestFM radio.


Officials of the organisation are:

'Thursday Night Live!'
is an umbrella to support the promotion of gigs by Bournemouth Jazz Club, Club du Monde world music and Bournemouth Acoustic Blues at Centre Stage.
Paul Burke co-ordinates the 'Thursday Night Live!' programme.
