VENUE

Bournemouth Folk Club has been located at Centre Stage since September 2005. Centre Stage is the large function room of the Pig and Whistle, a fairly small pub. It has a separate entrance adjacent to the pub. The venue is spacious and comfortable with seated capacity for 160 at tables and a bar. The stage is wide and low (21 inches). There is in-house PA.

Centre Stage is well-located in an attractive part of Bournemouth between the town centre and Westbourne. Westbourne is an attractive and stylish urban village with fashionable shops and restaurants. Within close walking distance of Centre Stage are a selection of hotels including the Premier Inn (Poole Road).

Food is available at the venue on Thursdays (but not Sundays) and may be served between 7.15 and 8.30pm - but NOT during headline performance.
Pre-show meals are available at the Himalay, an excellent Nepalese resturant next door to the venue.

DIRECTIONS
The venue is easy to find. The Pig and Whistle (inc Centre Stage) is close to the main road to Bournemouth (A338 / Wessex Way).

From the north east direction (Southampton, Ringwood etc) the Spur Road (A338) becomes Wessex Way.
At second roundabout on the Wessex Way (Bournemouth West Roundabout) take left.
Go to St Michael's Roundabout (about 200 yards) and take last turnoff (ie right) into Poole Road.
Take first right at lights (200 yards) into Queens Road.
Pig and Whistle is a few yards down on the left on the corner. Centre Stage is next door (0 above).
There is a large public car park opposite.....
