A Band Like Alice plays bluegrass music. They were strongly recommended to us by people who have enjoyed other gigs of American folk music at Centre Stage.
They play "pure product" bluegrass music. They like the music of Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, the Stanley Brothers and the others who invented bluegrass in the 1940s and 50s, and more recent bands which play hard-driving bluegrass. They write some of their own material, and play songs and tunes from many other sources.
